Approach

I started this independent creative business with the idea that quality is more important than quantity. Not just quality of graphic design and visual communication, but quality of relationships and the partnerships built between myself and the clients I work with. With this in mind, I strive to make the work honest with the hope that it engages audiences in a more thoughtful and genuine way.

This exploration and practice of visual communication is one of my many interests in life. Given that, I’m a bit obsessive about studying the ways people and businesses use design as a way to communicate with their audience. I love exploring how to present ideas and messages in a way that cuts through the complexities and connects to the audience. It starts by learning as much as I can about the client’s needs and becoming a steward or caretaker of those needs.

In regards to my other interests, I enjoy traveling, cooking, collecting art, putting my hands in soil and seeing things grow, ceramics, writing and playing music, painting, and collecting the odds and ends that inspire me. My wife and I also own Practical Art, an art gallery and retail space in downtown Phoenix.
